gay-friendly doctorsIt is important to feel comfortable and safe when you go to the doctor. For members of the LGBT community looking for gay friendly doctors in Boston, MA, you are in luck. Massachusetts has a history of progressive politics for LGBT rights and Boston in particular has access to many gay friendly health resources.

Back in 1974, Elaine Noble was the first openly gay state representative to be elected. Massachusetts also was the first state to legalize same-sex marriage. The most well-known location for LGBT healthcare in Boston is Fenway Health. Founded in 1971, their mission is to enhance the wellbeing of the LGBT community through access to high quality health care, education, research, and advocacy. In 2009, they become the largest LGBT health care, education, and research facility in the nation. Some Fenway doctors are on the list, but there are also several independent doctors or those affiliated with other clinics that provide gay friendly care.
